Rose has been the favourites of all the poets..possibly because of it’s fragrant, silky feel. Rose water has use to flavour food since long..especially in Asia and Europe. Today, I have Rose water-coconut cookies for Bake-a-thon. My fellow bloggers Champa, Priya and Veena have been consistently been with me since last 26 days. Do check out there posts.
For Rose water-coconut cookies, you will need:
100 g Plain flour
2 tbsp Rose water
2 tbsp Dessicated coconut to sprinkle on top
You will need no water to knead the dough. Rose water will do the needful.
Preheat the oven at 180 degrees C.
Rub in butter with flour and sugar. Add in the rose water and knead together. Cling film this and refridgerate for 15-20 mins. Roll it out into a sausage and cut pieces. Roll each piece into a ball and press lightly. Sprinkle coconut lightly on top Place it into a lined tin.
Bake for 15 mins. Cool. I use pink sugar to decorate the cookies.
