The world cup fever has been so ecstatic that every cricket fan challenged their own boundaries. I wasn’t left out….with every run scored by our team, I cheered our team!! I promised this and that and also promised Dhoni with cakes for every move towards the victory.
Rachel being my true inspiration for baking, I always like baking her simple tea time cakes. Believe me they are delicious. I baked her carrot cake, walnut cake and peanut butter blondies for our team …all in a days time!!!
Rachel had a vanilla buttercream filling. If you wish you could refer her recipe for it.
So here is the method I followed:
- 200g plain flour sifted
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 225 castor sugar
- 100g butter
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
- 2 eggs
- 100g shelled and chopped walnuts
- 100 ml milk
