Kababs are the favourites when it’s the barbeque time. Like other ethnic foods brought by travellers, the kabab has become part of everyday cuisine in many countries around the globe. It is a Persian word including many meat dishes served on skewers. They can be made with meat or with veggies. Quite easy to cook on barbeque or grills or even ovens!!
Method:Soak 375 g soya granules,onions 2,ginger-garlic paste 3 tbsp,salt for taste, garam masala 1.5 tablespoons,coriander chopped, lemon juice 2 tablespoons, boiled potatoes 2-3/bread slices 2,mixed vegetables like carrots, frenchbeans, peas, sweetcorns…all washed,chopped and blanched. Blend all the ingredients in a blender. Chill in the fridge for sometime.
Soak wooden skewers for some time in water. This is very handy to hold when on picnics. Roll the kabab mix into sausage shapes and hold them onto wooden skewers and grill them.
What more if you have a barbeque picnic, you carry these and cook on barbeque on you picnic spot!! Enjoy with loads of salad precut,dips like ketchups, mint flavoured yoghurt or any chutney. I prepared humus as well to go with these kababs.
